Aus passport and UK passport

Hi there,

My husband and I are hoping to move to Barcelona next year for about 12 months.
I was born in Australia however have a British Passport as my father was born in the UK. My partner however only has an Australian passport.
I am finding it difficult to find information about visa requirements for both of us.
Would it benefit me to apply for a visa with my British passport? Any advice for my partner and his Aus passport?
Thanks

At the moment (pre-Brexit) you do not need a visa for a British citizen as we are still in the EU and entitled to free movement. Don't know about Aus but surely you can ask your nearest Spanish consulate.

Partner or husband? If you are married then your husband will have the same freedom of movement rights you do. As an Australian citizen he does not require a visa to visit Spain. You both need to be registered with the Spanish authorities within three months of your arrival.
