Default Auriga Crown have gone into liquidation.

If you have booked a car with them, you may have to make other arrangements.

Google translation.
One of the main suppliers for car hire on the Costa del Sol, Auriga Crown has entered shutdown process (already in bankruptcy), which has been a record of employment regulation (ERE) to 180 workers, most in Malaga, and recall of up to 1,300 vehicles.
The receivers of the entity, which became the first rental company in Spain, explain that they have received the judge's order authorizing the opening of liquidation (the sale of properties to meet debts). Meanwhile, some vehicles are being returned to financial credits to prevent weight gain.

So, already during the last weekend, had to derive part of orders to other companies, which meant great discomfort for many tourists coming to the airport and had no cars to rent.

Default Re: Auriga Crown have gone into liquidation.

Which, interestingly and bizarrely, has quite a financial implication for my local village, which is the one chosen by many car rental companies as the location to tax their vehicle....the rate being lower than most others. So with that many cars possibly no longer going to be taxed, our Ayuntamiento will likely be even more boracic..........
