I have been given a note which says that I am invited to 'merienda mujeres, asociation amas de casa' - can anyone tell me what this may be about please.

We have things like that it is events for women in your town village, we have womens luches and I have been to a few good fun and entertainment

our village has an asociation amas de casa too (not that Im involved) arranging all sorts, lotteries and the charity stuff - I hear tha tannoy announcements about their meetings

I have done aerobics classes through our local "amas de casa" pay an annual membership and everything is subsidised. Coach trips etc . Well worth checking out. Great way to meet spanish women and practice the lingo.

The meetings are about meeting and talking with the people who live in the same town so I think it will be very good for practicing hearing and speaking Spanish and making new friends.
My interests are very broad but sitting in bars or pubs is not one of them so each to their own I guess.
