The appliance should be designed to cope with live on either pin. If it isn't, it shouldn't get a CE badge. So it may be a problem for older appliances you might bring from e.g. the UK or France which rely on having a polarised socket and you plug it into an adaptor or change the plug. I notice some phone chargers get warm when they are one way round, but are ok the other way. hmmm |
