Anyone took a pet bird (cockatiel etc) when moving ?
Has anyone taken a pet bird with them when moving to Spain, travelling by car do you need special permission ???????

I'm not sure if a Cockatiel can give informed consent. Hopefully someone will be along shortly who can guide you.

According to an official French site, your pet bird will need papers to prove that it isn't carrying the avian flu virus. This applies to all EU countries, not just France. Consult your vet for details.

I took my pet bird to Spain.
But she ran off with one of the locals!

Special permission may be required if you intend moving with the bird to the Canary Islands.
