Have had these in the house lately and not totally sure what they are, would like to know if they are liekly to cause me any pain should I come into contact with their friends or relatives, lol
.
One has a long thorax and dangly legs, a little like a wasp (att 7142906) the other one is a spider but was about the size of an old 50p it had 2 prong like things at it's rear end ( att7162917)and short legs under its head area (att 0345). The pics are not brill but you get the idea

Yuck!!!
I think the first may be a hornet - don't get stung!!
I have NO idea what the other one it - and would prefer not to meet it!
I await other answers with interest.

The spider looks a bit like an Andalusian funnel-web, probably a male as its abdomen doesn't seem too enlongated. It's not harmful to humans (if it is one).

First one looks like an ichneumon wasp, or something similar, or possibly some other species of small wasp. The spiders, well, spiders can bite quite hard, and some are poisonous.
I treat anything like that with enormous caution. I got stung this morning by a wasp that belonged to a nest that had appeared damn fast under a table on the terrace. Soon had that destroyed.

No way would I mess with that. Poisonous or not, a bite from that would HURT.

Nature has a way of informing us - if it looks dangerous, it probably is. I don't usually kill spiders, but I would that one.

I think the wasp thing is possibly what is regarded as a hornet (we tend to call it an articulated wasp
) but not what Brits would call a hornet.... though take it from me, those definitely exist too!

They usually sell a spray specially for the job, it's not cheap at about 11€ but one blast is all you need and the problem is gone!
The spray is very forceful and I find it will reach even the highest point of the roof easily.

Any fly spray or whatever will work - possibly the ones suggested have more powerful/longer jets but depends where it is. A couple of euros could do it if it's close to....
ps if you've got one waspnest, there's quite a chance there are a number (if you have the old tiles). I long ago gave up trying to get rid of the roof ones, and only target the under-table inside-flowerpot doorframe/gutter ones!

[PEDANT MODE]
All spiders are to some extent VENOMOUS (rather than poisonous).

An Andalucian Funnel Web would hurt. It wouldn't kill a human but I wonder what it would do to a cat or small dog? Would they know that they are dangerous and leave them alone?
