Any entimologists out there?
Hi all,
Need some help to identify an insect that seems to appear on the lounge/bedroom walls and ceilings not infrequently over the past year or two. It is up to an inch long, thin, tan/brown colour with long thin feelers and if "disturbed" it moves very fast! It doesn't seem to fly though. Have killed them when they are within height reach and despite trawling the internet the nearest I have found is scarily a "german cockroach" which is a big worry. Any of you knowledgeable folk got any ideas on what it is and how to get rid of them. |

Re: Any entimologists out there?
Been here since 2006 but hadn't had them till relatively recently. Worked in Far East and the cockroached there were huge and looked nothing like my current "houseguests either".
So, are they cockroaches in your experience? |
Re: Any entimologists out there?
It sounds like one to me - although we should perhaps follow the lead of the Florida Chamber of Commerce on these and call them 'Palmetto Bugs'.

Re: Any entimologists out there?
yep sounds like a german cockroach, they are small, when i had a bar the wooden part of it became infested, they came in via cardboard boxes of water or beer, very hard to get rid of,tried 2 spanish firms,no luck then rang nigel from nps, prob solved, this ofc will only help if you are costa del sol and i have nothing to do with nps,nip it in the bud, check warm areas like fridge compressors and spray or put traps down, they wont just go away
