Your contract says it reduces to 128kbs when you reach your monthly allowance, you're getting 130kbs. Near enough spot on.

Guys,
It's case of horses for courses, I repeat , after suffering the Telephonica "Trac Phone " slowness for years am very happy with the, for me , " Red Rum " speed of the Movistar 3G Dongle, even if I have exceeded my quota, I have had home survey visits by a number of internet providers for campo users over the years ,all told me sorry ,no signal available , one actually broke three of my roof tiles whilst climbing over my roofs trying to find a signal, no apology or sorry mate, just left without any remorse.
I do not down load music or movies, all I require the internet for is to be able to speak to family and friends on Skype and to do occasional on line banking.
To close , I may not have the best campo internet providor but this simple small dongle has made our life in the campo so much easier to live the Spanish Campo dream for my wife and myself, we both love it and may it continue.

Sorry I've been unable to get online apart from wifi wherever I can because of the perishing virus so I'm a latecomer.... sounds as though my internet requirements may be high on data because I do a lot of googling, so has anyone any 'no line of sight' type suggestions to take account of that?

I don't think googling (surfing?)is high on data. Downloading files and things like that is high data usage.

It depends how graphic rich the sites are. When I'm using a data limited dongle, I configure my browser not to download images.

I've got a vodafone.ie dongle that gives me 50mb a day for 99c all over Europe (I use it when outside Spain as it's zillions of €€€ cheaper than roaming with a Spanish sim). If I browse web sites with lots of photos, it soon gets eaten up.
