America's cup to return to Valencia

Good news for Valencia, the worlds most prestigious sailing event is set to return to the city after impressing the first time round.

This is a massive boost to the local economy as billions were spent on the last one, and billions more will be spent on this one.

The "Auld Mug" was first raced for around the Isle of Wight in 1851 - 45 years before the first modern Olympics. US yacht America won to spark 132 years of US domination until Australia II broke the deadlock in 1983.

And yet the UK has never won it! :(

There are 2 Brit teams in it next run.

To be honest if the truth be known it is only ever the Kiwis who win it, as the vast majority of cups have been won by Kiwi skippers or crew.

Doubtful, the teams are a little weak really, but who knows, the protocol's for next time are a little screwed up to be honest, as the run up races are one length of boat while the actual A.C is another type, so each team will have to have at least 2 types of boats!!
