Altitude training in Andorra...

Does anyone know the highest altitude town in Andorra?
Good hotels?

And any good areas for high altitude cycling training?

Thanks! :D

You could also ask on the French forum, since Andorra "belongs" to both France and Spain!
www.vtt-andorre.com will give you some info on cycling there, but apparently only in French. Click on the Union Jack on the andorre.fr site and you'll get everything in English.
Hope this helps!:)

I think Andorran`s would disagree very strongly with your "belongs" comment:lol:

Plus most Andorrans speak Spanish, Spanish influence is without a doubt the strongest. Being a Principality neither Spain or France own it or in the modern world lay any strategic claim to it, It was created when the Moors were the strongest force in Spain and was used as a buffer zone to keep the Moors out of France. Since then on a number of times it was swapped between France and Spain in the Latter dark ages and middle ages. During the second world war it was one of the most important British Airmen Smuggling routes as Andorra was neutral and had declared a peace treaty with Germany. Andorra's Modern Government was set up in 1993 but it's varying states of independence have lasted over a 1000 years. It since it was created has never been a part of either country, It was just Annexed under the royal protection of either France or Spain's closest Large Town

I answered the Cycling Aspects of the Op's Question in the France section.

French OH confirmed that Andorra is a principality, shared between two co-princes, the Bishop of Urgel and the President of France. Maybe I shouldn't have used that expression, but I did use quotes!:)
