Alicante - English speaking driving instructor
Hi again
this site has proved invaluable!
Another question, in 3 weeks time I arrive in Spain 🇪🇸!!
I need to get a Spanish driving licence and was wondering if any of you knew an English or Italian speaking driving instructor please?
Thanks

You could try searching online the various driving schools. They may have "english spoken" on the website. Or email and ask each individual one.
Just remember that the test is in Spanish.

Has anyone actually sat the practical driving test yet as an insight would be useful, perhaps even a sheet of commonly used instructions to learn in Spanish could be offered, it could be just as frustrating for the Spanish examiner, who knows eventually some allowance for the language barrier may be taken into consideration and an appointed interpreter could be used.

My ex did it 3 years ago but she speaks good Spanish. I think the problem is that you are asked questions about the engine etc, plus you would need to answer questions about yourself for verification. It would give a wierd impression to the examiner and other candidates ( who are in vehicle) if you pretended to understand Spanish.Afterall maintaining safety is a requirement and not understanding emergency instructions and responses wouldn't suggest you were not a safe driving. I remember my ex saying it was stressful because her examiner had an accent from Murcia and she struggled a bit concentrating and listening. No idea if translator is allowed- I would have thought it could lead to problems
