How do you feel about this?
Its about time we all had a bit of a heated discussion, so what do you think about his legacy being treated in this way?

Hmm, history is history. You shouldn't try to change it or forget about it, even if you don't approve of it.

Same sort of theing that happened in Moscow after the fall of communism. Almost all statues etc of Lenin and other communist leaders like Stalin were pulled down, had the names removed or otherwise mutilated. Several ended up in parks for kids to play on. Big mistake I think, as they were still part of the countries history, even though they may ahve proved to have been despots, tyrants etc, they were/are part of the heritage, and as such should be left so that they are a constant reminder of what happened in the past.

Very difficult to comment on unless you were actually involved in what happened, but things like this will never be forgotten, statues left of not, its part of history and will always be there.
