Agencia Tributaria Eatatal demand.
Hi,
We lived in Bolnuevo, Murcia for 8 years before returning to the UK in 2011.
We have kept a Spanish bank account. My wife has recently had a demand(March 2016), via our Spanish bank for more than we have in the account, which we do not believe is due anyway. Can the Spanish authorities demand payment from our UK account.

Why do you not think the demand is not valid / correct?
They cannot take payment from your UK account.
If you do not challenge the demand / pay then interest will accrue on the debt and this could cause problems if and when you return to Spain.

As "mikelincs" said we partly think we don't think we owe anything because we haven't lived in Spain since 2011. Also my wife has only had a state pension for 2 years which I understand would be taxed in the UK if any tax was due.
