Internet TV is the way forward, providing of course you can get sufficient speed which only a minority have and it is accessed legally.
Unfortunately we are a long way from being there.

its word for word identical to the websites of a company in Barcelona and another one in Ibiza, but considering where they are (GC) it is probably from someone who used to post here but hasnt been around for a while. (probably sorting out the North African zone access cards to the footy, as he advertised)

If it was albanian or bulgarian residents in the UK using proxys and dodgy downloads all those smug expats who are quite happy to do the same would be up in arms.
But as they are brits it is OK for them. Double standards

I'm a bit surprised nobody has complained how unfair it is that you can legally get BBC here for free, but the poor British population is paying for it.
I reckon we should remove those channels from our receivers because it isn't fair to the Brits who pay their precious TV licence fees.

Re: advice please re UK tv in Spain
as I have said on other threads
I don't even bother looking for UKTV, I get more than enough English/American language with Spanish Terrestial (SD) with the added advantage of adverts, news and weather in Spanish.
why so much baggage, ducking, diving, dodging the sentries when quite honestly I can say I don't miss it, especially 2 Ronnies and Delboy for Christmas. Have the video set of the West Wing, only seen a couple, haven't had it out for over 2 years so will probably have to start all over again.
life is too short to build it around Corrie, Eastenders and all the alphabet soup "reality" shows with scripts.

Speaking of that, I've never been a corrie fan, really, only ever watched one episode and was bored to tears - left wondering what the attraction was.
But then I heard on the radio yesterday that corrie has been awarded as one of the world's most influential TV programs - ever.
Erm.. really? Does anyone outside the UK even know it exists?
I reckon it's the same rationale that causes the yanks to always win the "world series".
