Advice needed on bank

Hi,
Our spanish bank is banco de andalucia and i want to put money in there from england.

Went in to our halifax branch and was told that if i wish to transfere cash in to the spanish account they will charge me £17.95 on each time i wish to do so :curse:
Does anyone know how i can get it transfered to spain with out being charged a huge amount.
As some times i only want to stick 20 quid in it, so i dont want to have a huge charge.

Thanks for taking time to read this

Can't help Miss N but wanted to say that we have an Halifax bank account and because of the high charges when transferring money to a bank in Spain we opened a Spanish Halifax account. The transfer is free between the Halifax in the uk and Halifax in Spain. Then when we wish to transfer money to another Spanish bank we use our Halifax.es account and the charge is only 1.80 euros.

Yes I can. Register with www.sun-pay.com
Its a quick and easy way to transfer out smaller amounts. I use it all the time now, because UK bank will always make a hefty charge. The Spanish bank charges nothing.
You simply transfer the amount in £ to your Sunpay £ account, then change it to your Sunpay euro account, and then send it to your Spanish account. Theres a one off charge of 10 euros for every transfer, so make sure its worth it.
Also, the rates of exchange you get are very similar to ITT Moneycorp. They are free of course to transfer, but there are minimums I believe.

You'd need two email addresses I gues, but yes. I noticed though the fees for making foreign payments are quite high and they twiddle with the r/ex

I have 4 e-mail addresses, and a website so I wonder if that would help. May have to investigate.

You could but as it means using multiple identities to transfer funds abroad you might be in trouble with the law, the FSA, HMRC etc for money laundering :)
