Accountant/Tax advisor recommendation
 

Hi - moved to spain late last year (still under 183 days) and wanted to know if anyone can recommend an accountant to handle my taxes here. Shouldnt be especially onerous, will be paid PAYE in the UK and receive the occasional dividend, but i plan on being tax resident in Spain.

Where are you based? I am using a guy in Marbella who is fluent in English and tax lawyer. Does mine for 349 flat rate. I am exactly the same as you on UK PAYE as I don't work in Spain I commute to work in the UK and EU.

I am not sure if I am able to link his details or not under the forums odd rules.

Not sure what 'odd rules' you're referring to, they seem pretty straightforward to me. But the rules are here for future ref - https://britishexpats.com/site-rules/

So yes, it's fine to give his details. You can't advertise your own services, as per rule 9, but it's fine to recommend a third party.

The OP has asked for recommendations, you can provide him with the details provided that your only connection is that you are one of his clients.

i'm based in Madrid. Not sure the UK gov will do my spanish tax returns for 349 euros though

I'm becoming a tax resident in Madrid next year and will also be looking for an accountant to help me (nothing complicated). It would be good to know if you find somebody good with reasonable rates.
