9 Days Until Madrid
 

Yes, we're getting excited now. It's our first time off Lanzarote together since last Xmas... so we're ready for the break.

We've got lots planned for the whole weekend... shopping... eating... art galleries... I don't know how we'll fit it all in really.

I really must book a hotel soon though eh?!

Well, we've booked the hotel now... so it's all systems go. We're staying in Calle Arenal... which on the map looks like it's right in the thick of things.

6 days to go!

Hope you have a great time Elle, it's been a while since I was last there, I am sure you will enjoy it, don't forget your thermals! Churros chocolate and brandy for brekkie will keep you warm......do they still have the cable car there ??

Thanks for that. Yes, we'll be wrapping up warm... it'll be a bit colder than Lanzarote eh? Gotta love churros! You can have my brandy though - not my thing. Much prefer vino or vodka... wonder if I can get away with it for breakfast? Hmmm.

Don't know about the cable car, as we've not been to Madrid before. Mind you - I'd rather bury a close relative than get into anything that's going to take me up high! :eek:

When I was there everyone was having Brandy with it, so I thought why not..probably not the best idea but it did keep the cold out and conquered the fear of heights...:eek:

Oh, and a special thank you to Crispy too - who PM'd me a website to book the hotel through. We got a 4 star hotel for €100 total for 2 of us. Bargain!
