Do you have a globe?

Where are we?

Where is Canada?

Now draw a line directly south to the equator from both positions.

Is the satellite covering canada even visible from Spain?

Yes.
It will pick up something.
No BBC ITV C4 or Fives.
Sky News, S4C, BBC Radio 1-4, BBC Streams, a few religiuos channels, and not a lot else for free.
Perhaps about 30-40% of the Sky pay channels channels.

No idea what Canada has to do with anything?

as The Guy says "it will pick up something"

I believe in the rain principle - if you put out a funnel with a big mouth area it will pick up alot of rain, if it is only a small mouth area then it will pick up much less rain.

to some extent satellite dishes are the same the larger the area the more signals they pick up, also they pick up stronger signals and become more tunable for reception.
