As pleasing to the eye those photos may be I'm not sure what point the of the post is as no two countries are the same therefore "Unlike Any Other Country" can be said about just about anywhere!

Well, it gave me some ideas for some trips to explore this diverse country - and obviously, some other forum members enjoyed looking at the photos which may inspire them to experience more of what Spain has to offer.

It's the little unexpected things I like so much about living in Spain. We stayed in Málaga overnight on Saturday for our anniversary and at the rather unassuming tapas bar we stopped at for a drink there was a Spanish wedding party in all their finery, bride in her meringue dress and tiara, 3 bridesmaids in their long dresses with bouquets and groom and groomsmen in their smart suits, and passersby shouting "Viva la novia!

That sounds great - often a surprise around every corner here...
Well IMO now is a great time to explore with cooler temps and fewer tourists and lower prices! I am just back from a few days in Valencia and thoroughly enjoyed (again!) visiting the City of Arts and Science - a fabulous experience.

I went by train from Alicante - paid 18€ (one way/ida) and that included a 3-course lunch with coffee and licor. There are still some great deals around despite inflation!

I'm glad to hear Renfe are still serving the 3-course meal with wine, coffee and a digestif - we have enjoyed that a few times on the AVE between Malaga and Madrid, a very civilised way to travel.
In Valencia we really enjoyed the Fallas Museum, it's tucked away on the opposite site of the Turia from the City of Arts and Science. It was a few years ago when we visited but it was a real bargain, €2 admission!
