We're having an Indian summer (I daresay the PC brigade might find the expression 'racist'??).
We've had a reasonable spread of rainfall, though currently this year we've only had 860litres, compared to 2018 when we had reached 1000litres by mid May. Fortunately we don't suffer from those "gotas frias" that you experience along the Mediterranean coast. Hopefully I haven't spoken too soon.

I thought "Indian Summers" can only occur after the first frost (but am probably wrong)?

We are inland in Valencia Province and yesterday was 32 degrees. Rain forecast for today and tomorrow though

Perhaps it doesn't yet qualify technically as an Indian summer as it seems they occur late autumn, so probably October.
Anyway, it's balmy weather.

Ontinyent was hit by the recent "gota fria", n'est-ce pas?
Did you suffer any damage? Hopefully not, as the newspaper reports tend to have focussed on Orihuela.

Hola

Here in the Cádiz region we have not yet had 4 inches of rain; a very dry year. Temperatures are about normal although it was a mild winter with fewer than five frosts.

What, in the whole year? You're joking? That's a mere 100litres/m². Gosh, that's serious; in fact extremely serious. Ought to be an orange alert warning at least. I don't know how you manage down there. Aren't there water restrictions?
Here, we've had, since January, 940litres, also a dry year!

Hola

We normally get between 400mm & 600mm per year. Yes the reservoirs are well down but a lot of people have their own well and mine is holding up ok although yes plants and trees are suffering.

Actually, when I think about it, 600mm/yr was about the average for East Anglia. Still sounds dry though!
From what I read in the Spanish press, it's the infrastructure in the south that hasn't had the investment to deal with water saving, often because the money was "diverted", an unfortunate Spanish custom.
Here, we also have quite dry periods, such that I am careful with what I water & when in the allotment.
I guess it's all relative.

Hi all where we live is like a giant volcano and the valley floor used to be a lake what ever rainfall we get it goes to the valley floor and since we have lived here it,s been nothing but green and fertile except the almond disease. i,m not sure about rainfall but it has been a strange year all a round
