1 Kiwi / 1 Brit + 2 kids on their way..maybe?
We could be accused of as having itchy feet as we moved to NZ (husband from here) for a better life...which we definitely have, but I cannot help my enormous homesickness. We are settled in the South Island, husband an underground miner and earns pretty big money (for here) but he does 5 14 hour days, 5 14 hour night shifts and then gets 5 days off....it is getting very routine even after a year. Europe is so much more excitiong...going out, eating out, other countries....where do we go what do we do??????
PLEASE ANY ADVICE WOULD BE HELPFUL TO A CONFUSED ME! (PS MY PARENTS LIVE IN VELEZ MALAGA)
Cheers Mandy

Welcome to the forum
If you're moving here so he has more time with the family then it doesn't always work out that way if you have to work.
Working day here is roughly 9 to 2pm, 5 to 9 pm
Average wage €13k a year
Having said that the cost of living is certainly less here than in the UK, in this area by roughly 30%. Not knowing NZ, I couldn't comment on that

Well I live in Spain and my daughter lives in the UK with her Kiwi partner who comes from Invercago (sorry about the spelling) and they are getting married in Christchurch next year and eventually moving back to N.Z. So the world is a small place.
