Default Student Medical Insurance in S Africa

My daughter (UK passport & resident) needs medical insurance to get a study visa for her forthcoming degree studies in South Africa. As there is very little info on the Africa part of this website, I thought this might be the best place to ask the question.

Your daughter will need South African medical insurance. If you google ‘medical aid for students south africa’ you should get details. There are lots of providers. Universities will not allow your daughter to complete registration without it. But it has to be South African. That has been my experience anyway.
