Do people still emmigrate to South Africa

Also not a great place for other Africans really - the xenophobia towards them by the black Africans in SA is well documented. Foreign workers and businesses are routinely targeted for attack.
It probably doesn't help that the unemployment rate is so high, infrastructure is crumbling and many people don't even proper electricity and running water anymore. Nor having some of the highest crime on the planet.

I suppose you have to ask yourself, why you would think about going to SA? The days have long gone when SA offered opportunities and a lovely life ( assuming you were white). I went there back in the 70’s and together with some years in Rhodesia, had a lovely life. I’m in Chile now, and often come across SA engineers and their families, here working with the mining companies, and all have said they dread being sent back to SA, and have not a single good word for the place.
