Hi all

I will shortly (3 weeks) depart for Singapore for a few months' secondment with work.

Any general tips to offer?

I also wondered if anyone is familiar with the cost of electronics out there? I am considered buying a laptop and wondered whether it is likely to be cheaper out there. What are the duty/tax implications?

Good luck with the secondment. Don't know about the prices but the guarantee will be local if you buy it there and you should pay vat when you bring it back to the UK if you choose to declare it!!
