Transport to & from airport.
Whats cheapest way to hotel in Singapore staying near Raffles.???

airport is pretty far from raffles place..and if your flight lands around midnight, cab fare will be 50% more expensive..
However,train ends around 11++ pm too..so you gotta take a cab, no choice.

It's only money and you cannot take it with you. Get a cab. Life's too short. Anyway it's a Singapore experience getting a cab

36 bus to Raffles is actually ok. goes down ecp to Marine parade then back on ECP until Suntech

If you are determined, you can board the MRT at Changi Airport station and alight at Raffles MRT station. Then walk or hail a cab to your hotel.
Lugging a luggage onto the bus is a bad idea, I don't think you will find the space. There is a MRT (train station) at Changi Airport itself, but it is a distance away, you can walk there with your luggage on stroller mode, but it depends on how determined you are I guess.
