You'll be fine with the medications, nothing to fret - if you wanna be doubly sure, just get your GP to scribble a note to say that the meds are for your personal use only (I know, duh!) and you're good as gold.

Thanks guys! A bit more excited now. Although my chest has started playing up again with the coughing etc but got my doctors appointment on Monday so I'll see what they say

You mean the Haze? Or your coughing?
Certainly here in Penang the situation has turned around last two days. Winds shifted...coming from East...blowing the haze back and we had a few storms. Oh boy ....clear skies, fresh air. Really makes you appreciate it.
So, I think it's a for you. But don't get too worried about it. Plenty to do indoors if you have to. Enjoy.

Just an update on the haze situation here.
It's been clear for about a week now
Quite some rain in that time although I'm not sure how much that effected the haze.
Heavy rain at the moment.
Dunno how the TS got on here over two weeks ago now but iirc it was still very hazy here then.

Haze has been clear for over 2 weeks. I was walking around marina bay on 2nd November and it was fine.
The night Safari is a bit boring though, you can't see much during the tram tour, better off using your time exploring the city.

Sorry I forgot to come back and update. I had a nice trip,I was lucky and didnt experience noticeable haze other than my very last night at the airport. The taxi driver said the wind direction had changed.
Didn't go to the night safari, was too awkward for me. Didn't stay out very late at night tbh other than my first night when I got lost!
Would definitely recommend Singapore to friends. I really hated sentosa though

Night safari, you didn't miss much.
Sentosa is good if you want the theme parks / Aquarium. Otherwise the rest is for those who want to go hang out on beach during the weekend with expensive activities around you.
