Default Smoke Haze

What's the actual effect on the ground of this haze?

Is it possible to get around to see and do things at the moment?

Visiting Singapore this week. Visibility is not great - city skyline is hazy. The air smells of smoke and is acrid, and some people walk around wearing face masks. A local doctor advised someone I know here to avoid cardio exercise outside: apparently the fine particles can get lodged in your lung tissue. You can certainly get around, but the place does not seem as normal.

Looks a bit like Liverpool on a foggy winter, with the additional unwanted acrid smell and sweaty humidity
