For me it doesn't matter if any info might be 'out of date'.
A proviso is usually attached or it's obvious how old the info is.
It's an internet bored and nowadays this one appears to be used less than it used to be.
Any post that keeps a thread alive is better than none. As long as the post is not obusive.
