British Expats - Singapore and Malaysia

Looking at setting up office in Singapore and house in Malaysia.

Questions:

Cars in terms of restrictions for travel between Singapore and Malaysia. Should we account for having cars from both? Yes are well aware of car costs and permits.

Schools in terms of holistic rather than just academic.

Areas?

Singapore we are looking for 4 bed condo with parking for 2 cars with normal pool and gym amenities.

Malaysia looking for large plot of land hopefully in elevated semi rural area.
Looking to build around 1800 sqm house so need around 3 acres.
Keen to start Google these areas

What are land costs per sqm?

Building costs per sqm?
Oz was around $3k per sqm. NZ appears around $10k per sqm so wide variations so keen to see what malaysia will be.

Any recommendations in terms of builders? Architects?

Have house in KL with elderly parents so looking for closer proximity to Singapore (health reasons, cancer treatment) but taking into account they are adamant about remaining in Malaysia.

In terms of my office I will be looking at getting staff in these areas:

Any agent recommendations? Ie specialists in each area?
Will this be difficult to secure staff in Malaysia versus Singapore? Assume same remuneration.
