Nationality claim, do I have any?
Hi
Just stumbled upon this site and signed up to finally get round to asking about this ... first post! I was born in Singapore in 1970. To a British military family (RAF) stationed there at the time. I lived there until I was 18 months old, moved back to the UK with them, and have never been back since. I have a UK passport. Place of birth was, I believe, the military hospital on what was Changi RAF Base back then. Passport says British currently. I've always been led to believe I have zero claim to Singaporean nationality. Is that correct? Or have laws changed, or other claim avenues opened up, in more recent times? Apologies if I'm asking in the wrong place, please redirect me if so. Thanks in advance, Colin. |
Re: Nationality claim, do I have any?
You're correct; you have no claim to Singaporean citizenship.
