Hi all,

I am moving to Singapore the week of Jan 20th and am looking for a place to rent. I was wondering if anybody could possibly recommend a room going. I'm 24, male, from the UK and will be working in finance, based in Marina Bay.

Budget would probably be max SGD 1400 p/m. Would consider a variety of locations but preferably not too far from work. Have looked on Craigslist but if I could get something sorted with some expats on here it would be great.

I'm sporty (football, tennis, badminton etc.) and love to socialize. Was recently working out in Riyadh, KSA. Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

I am currently in a hostel in Singapore and currently looking for a place to stay as I am due to start work around the time you arrive.

Pretty much the same interests as you with the sports.

Just for info Joo Chiat Place is not too close to Marina Bay but closer than many areas.

Lots of eating places and 'night clubs' though.

It's a place I'd visit rather than live but it is a very interesting area.
