local driver needed; to help furnish apt
 

Hi all

please can anyone help me, I am moving to Sing in 3 weeks, last time i was in Sg was in 2005, and i met a great local taxi driver ( white merc) who helped me on his day off,

he drove me around the island and helped me totally furnish an apartment, he did some haggling for me, and knew where to take me and we paid him well, when i left i sold everything to a new expat...

Unfortunateley I have lost his number

does anyone know a similar type of local guy, that we can trust,

Hi Nick and welcome to the forum. I no longer live in Singapore so cannot help you much. I would've thought just asking around when you get there. As you know, most folks are friendly there. Maybe ask in one of the local shops, local pubs in the area that you move to.
