Are full Body Scanners mandatory at Changi Airport?

I am transiting via Singapore (changing planes at Changi Airport).
Are full Body Scanners mandatory at Changi Airport?

Due to radiation and health concerns, I like to avoid body scanners at airports.

Any related experiences to share?

What do you mean by full body scanners? Like the X-ray thing? We only have metal detectors (which look like a gate you can pass through). If you don't want to go through the gate, I think you can opt for scanning by a handheld metal detector.
