Coming to Singapore In August for a week anyone recommend nice place to stay and things to do and places to eat.

What's your budget? There are many 5* places to stay....but of course they charge 5* prices! Is your budget more modest and how many people are travelling with you?

I have booked Fairmont 4 days now for next 3 whats better near river,Sentosa or the Marina bay???

Previously stayed at Fullerton Hotel which was very nice (although perhaps a little pricey).

You'll probably see 90% of Singapore city in your 4 days if jet lag doesn't get to you first.
Changi Village is very nice imo, has a great hawker centre ,some nice beach areas and you can easily get a bum boat across to Pulau Ubin for a day's stroll there or I think you can even overnight there, you'll need to check that out. There is an hotel behind or rather to the north of the airport which is close to Changi Village.

Also you can visit Changi yacht club to eat and drink and maybe get up to Punngol Park or perhaps Serangoon Park and the Beauleu House Restaurants.
That north east part of Singapore is seldom seen by tourists and is very nice. Although it's easier to get to by car you could do it by public transport as buses do go to those extremities.
The north west side is nice as well and has the last kampong in Singapore. This can still be visited it also has a big wet lands park if you like that sort of thing.
