Closest Hill Walking in Singapore

Hi, we are looking at moving to Singapore and enjoy the outdoors, walking in the hills and mountains. Where is the closest place to do that? Do we need to go to Malaysia or are there some areas to explore in Singapore as well? Thanks

No mountains in Singapore but quite a few hills with nature reserve trails.
But it's very humid in these areas because they are through secondary jungle.
You won't generally have views of the distant countryside just maybe 50m to 100m in the jungle.

Similar in Malaysia except there are nearby mountains ish again in Nature reserves.

On a clear day I can see three nature reserves in Malaysia ranging from 35km to 60km distance from my accommodation.

There are man made trails around Singapore where you can walk 10km plus through treetops.

Hi sd25 and welcome to the forum

Have a browse around this site:
https://www.nparks.gov.sg/cms/

They're a clever lot in Singapore. There's actually rather a lot of "green places" and, if you go to them on weekdays when it's quieter, you'd hardly believe you were in Singapore.

I used to like Macritchie Reservoir (see pic below). Bit of an old pic but never mind.

I guess the hilliest place on Singapore is Mount Faber. More of a hill than a Mount. I'll see if I can find a pic of that too.

As ExReg said, it do get rather hot and humid though.

Pic from Mount Faber. Again, it's a bit old as I haven't been there for years.
