I think you register to vote at the last area you voted from in the UK. Here's a link which may help

Re: Snap general election.
Sorry to jump into your thread about postal voting but my thread on the election has been closed. I just thought there should be a general election thread.
As much as I hate to say it I think the Tories have got the timing spot on.
There is no hope for Labour while Corbyn is in charge, and the Lib Dems have not re-grouped leaving the Tories a free run.
There can only be one result, it's just a matter of by how many seats.

Everyone who comes to this site will have a view...now for the first time the voting general public of the UK will say which way they want to go..and with a bit more understanding of the implications either way..I believe 72% of them voted in the ref.
.do the other 28% come and vote and which way...I believe as a result on june 8 british politics will never be the same again.I look foreward to watching a fair but brutal fight from a distance

Looking at the exchange rate. Might be a good opportunity to buy some euros?

So you need to be sure that the two-way (out and return) postal delays will not mean you cannot meet the deadlines.
If you plan on holidaying at the beginning of June will the ballot papers be issued before you leave? So when do you decide to register or use the alternative proxy voting method.
