Matrimony or Patrimony ?

Matrimony or Patrimony ?
So Strasburg wants the last 9 countries that don't allow same sex marriages to introduce legislation allowing matrimony between same sexes. How is this possible without a woman in the case of Homos ? Should it not require a whole new legal definition after all it should be Patrimony, Matrimony has to do with Mother ( Legal definition) and there is no possibility at present ( apart from the Druse beliefs) to make a mother out of a man.

RAI and C5 News broadcasts over the last couple of days. The Italian spin was Matrimony and not Unión and was reported as a request from the EU to make same sex Matrimony legal.

Could be, I don't know what the precise wording in the other languages was only Italian "Matrimonio" , seeing as there appears to be a difference in derivation of marriage and matrimony in other countries the definitions are probably not the same.

If the use of the word matrimony is the basis of your objection to marriage between to men, can we assume you don't object to marriage between two women?

I'd feel more comfortable with two women bringing up kids than I would with two men, married or not.
