The service will operate twice weekly year round on Tuesdays and Saturdays on an Airbus A319 aircraft. Fares start from £15.72.

Hi all. A random query. I've been looking at jobs in my field in Gibraltar (and in Andalusia), and there are several jobs always advertised which would appeal to me. I toyed with the idea last year and spoke to a recruitment agent, but I guess, unless I was over there, they may not take me too seriously. (I'm in Ireland).
I suppose the advantage would be working through English, as opposed to having to really improve me levels of Spanish in somewhere like Malaga for example.
I was down that way earlier this year, but didn't make it to the rock, just passed by more or less.
What's the feeling about the impact Brexit could have?

Wait and see a bit like the Irish frontier.

A little background

Between 1969 and 1985 with the frontier between Gibraltar and Spain closed living in Gibraltar could be equated to paradise.

When the wrangling built up, an ex UK defence secretary made it clear that "Gibraltar is going to be protected all the way," while ex foreign secretary Boris Johnson is on if record as saying that "The UK remains implacable and rock-like in our support for Gibraltar." So, there is support for Gibraltar in high UK places, made evident when it matters, but what about the situation in Spain?

Brexit negotiators are wondering who runs Spain

Brexit negotiators may be wondering who runs Spain but some of us are wondering who is running our British Government.Never mind, they may be off early for the Summer Hols.Didn't I read somewhere that you get fined for taking out a child from school before the end of term because the work has not been completed?? Just saying.

Anyone looking at the UK will be wondering who in the UK is actually in charge of Brexit, even the government does not seem to know...
Was Gibraltar even mentioned in White paper ?

Maybe you should read the White Paper before commenting.

It's still difficult to know what could happen. Most of the Brexiteers in London have been clueless about Northern Ireland and the people who live on the border region in NI, and have come up with crazy ideas on how to solve it, so God only knows what they intend to do with Gibraltar. I'll watch and listen with interest...

People may have heard the sound of a helicopter around the Rock recently. Don’t be alarmed if you have, this is a helicopter chartered by the BBC to film part of a life wild life documentary.

Well yes, that's a fair point. Maybe the issue could be more of an issue for Spanish people commuting to the rock?

On that note, how come there are so many digital companies based in Gibraltar. Mainly online casinos. Is it strictly for tax purposes? That's what I've been looking at...
