Car rental Fuerteventura

Lo folks

I'm looking for a bit of advice on renting a car on Fuerteventura, don't know if anyone here can assist?

Last year we arranged a holiday at short notice in Fuerteventura and didn't have much time to do research. I booked a car through Carhire 2000. They came back to me with a booking via a company called Gold Car. I'd never heard of them so did a quick Google search and found loads of bad reviews so rang Carhire 2000 up and changed the booking to Avis (for a few extra €€).

We're going back again later this year and I've googled car hire on Fuerteventura and come up with 2 other companies who appear to be cheaper.

cabrera medina & Plus Car

Just wondering if anyone's heard of them or used them or if anyone can recommend another company (preferably one where you pick up and drop off the car at the airport).

Cheers

Well it was just not my cup of tea, being constantly sand blasted with that prevailing easterly wind off the Sahara.
Not much to see except a desert like environment. Dust and sand in the apts and everywhere, couldn't keep it out, even some roads blocked with drifting sand.
I believe they even fitted the goats with green specs to fool them into thinking there was something to eat.;)

After a couple of weeks or so we'd had enough and flew across to Los Rodeos, North Tenerife.
It was like we'd just left Hell and landed in Paradise.

Just my own personal opinion and experience. I realize quite a few ppl do enjoy it there, so take no notice of me.
Best of luck and happy holiday.

We went last year and are going again this. We usually go to Florida but with the recession etc had to find somewhere cheaper. Where we were was nice and quiet and suited us as we either lay around the pool at the villa all day reading or drove up to the beaches at the sand dunes and read lol.

I was asking about hire as we paid about €350 last year to rent a car (Seat Leon from Avis) for a fortnight but have found on the Cabrera Medina website I can get an Astra for 2 weeks for €188 and was wondering if they were legit as I've never heard of them.
