Mine last around - 6mths to 1 year.

Apart from the monster in the Pajero that put in over 5 years.

It's normally the extreme cold rather than heat which kills off car batteries quickly. Having said that, I've just had one replaced under warranty at the 30K service (just over 18 months since new).
