(Note I shamelessly stole the thread title from BEVS)

Get out that bunting, your red, white and blue tablecloth and plates and flash your patriotic avatars!!! Join in the BE Diamond Jubilee street party here.

What food are your bringing?

What music shall we stick on?

Who's bringing the booze?

Well we know that Patty has got Pimms.

I wonder if my kids know our national anthem? I doubt it.

Actually, now you come to mention, I don't think my son does either ... mind you he probably doesn't not know the USA one either

I doubt mine know the UK one. The Italian one they learnt at school for their elementary school exam, but that exam no longer exists.

I've got my buntings, tea cosy and oven glove plus a few other things, but the cake? We ate it for OH's birthday. Got some Jubilee shortbread. Prosecco? Rivers of it. Anyone care to join us? That is, if you don't mind shaking a bit.

Mine know the Italian one after the 150 year "celebrations".

I can make a Victoria Sponge and some scones. I was going to say cucumber sandwiches but I'm not keen on Italian cucumbers.

Who's going to make coronation chicken and does anybody like it?

If any of you can't do without your coffee, I found these in a little Italian shop and they were only 5 euro for a set of four.
I never drink coffee so I have put one on a shelf as an ornament.
