Failing miserably to find work as a dentist

Hello all,
So me and the missus have decided to bugger off and try and find work in Dubai. We're both dentists and so reckon we stand a half decent chance of finding well paying work in the emirate. However we're both quite young (25 years old) and have no UAE experience.
Ive been e-mailing loads of practices and sending out my CV in response to every job posting on Dubizzle, gulf news, naukrigulf, bayt....etc..etc. I think 25% of Dubai has a copy of my CV. Despite this I'm not much further forward. Over the last 3 months of searching ive been offered one job by a crook of an emirati, wanting me to work a 50 hour week in exchange for a jam sandwich, and a slightly better offer in Dubai Health Care City however the package on offer was pretty lousy.
So the plan now is to go for a 10 day holiday to Dubai where I intend to march up and down Jumeirah Beach Road and the likes with an arm full of CV's.
I just wanted to get an idea of what people think of this approach? Will I be taken seriously if I'm not hanging about in Dubai for months on end trying to kiss arses to get a step up? Is there anything more I can be doing or anything more effective? Better yet, does anyone here know of any positions?!
Looking forward to the responses.
Cheers

Bob you son of a bitch, you've moved my thread out of the main forum and now I cant rely on total strangers to spoon-feed me a job. How dare you.

I know. The weather app in my iPhone is preset to Glasgow and Dubai. Quite a contrast when you flick between the two. The weather here for the last few months has been wind, rain, overcast and on average ~5 degrees. No wonder half of Glaswegians are on methadone, myself included.

Fingers crossed!
Dont know if I'll be visiting Dubai now as planned. Intended on staying with my brother for a week or two while I tried to arrange interviews. He's now been laid off and is coming home in a fortnight. Gutted.

Did you get any fortune in finding work? If you did, can you give us your words of wisdom?

Come. Pull up a chair. You're going to fit right in.
