Default new Sept/October 2011- alberta lmo timeline

I started a new thread because when I checked some other threads they were closed and I could not add any current lmo timelines.

LMO applied for : 9th September 2011
File number recieved: 27th September 2011

The job positon comes under noc B (skilled worker)

I am currently waiting on LMO decision not for myself but for my father....I remember this stage and like all the stages it is a long frustrating wait to know wether your life is going to change or not.
Good luck to others waiting and please post any current information.

Thanks

The employer has called Hrsdc this morning to be transeferred to a recorded messages stating that 'unless you have been waiting 10 weeks or more NOT to enquire about status of lmo application.'

Im guessing from this that realistically we should have a confirmation or refusal before 10 weeks ?

We will be waiting 6 weeks this friday.

I received a positive LMO from SK after 9 weeks of waiting. I was initially told by my employer's HR person that it would be 4-6 weeks, but from my own experience and everything I've read on here 8-10 weeks is more realistic.

Thanks for your input .....it really makes a difference to have at least a rough guideline to how long these things take.

It means we should hear something within the next month although these past 6weeks have felt like a lifetime already.

I know exactly what you mean. I remember what it felt like when, after 6 weeks, I called to inquire about the status and was told that it took 8-10 weeks. It felt like the next 2-4 weeks were going to be super long.

Just hang in there, and good luck!

I am still waiting too. It has been 8 weeks and 1 day so far. HRSDC keep on quoting 10 weeks as well. Fingers crossed we hear something within a week!

Hello,

I am in a similar situation albeit I am in Ontario. My employer (who I've been working for 12 months previously) applied September 6th but as yet no news.

My employer checked on progress on the 7th October and was told it would be another 4 weeks so here's hoping its very soon.

I am waiting for an LMO from Ontario. It has been 6 weeks now and it was submitted on 14 th of September. At the moment they are processing applications from 22nd of August.
Does anyone know of any reasons for a negative LMO, except for below average wages and not meeting the advertising requirements?

Mine was received on the 22nd Aug! However, this was in BC and not Ontario. Hope they are running similar timescales!

yeah thats us 7 weeks today for Alberta too!

Well if the timelines for the different provinces run together then it should be just under another 3 weeks for our lmo (which would work in with the 10 week estimation)........eeek

My fingers are crossed for you Neilottawa..its definately your time for a response and you should get your employer to follow that up for you..good luck!

8 weeks and 3 days - starting to get a little stressed now as there's going to be a point where either my company wont leave my job open anymore or we can't keep up with mortgage payments and will have sell the house, either way I dont want to return to the UK
