Default extending my 3 month US tourist visa to get married?

Im over in the US from the UK and my girlfriend and I are going to get married and then head back to the UK and live there. I know we need to get married and apply for the spouse visa but time is running out for her to return with me.

How can I extend my 3 month visa on the vwp to around 5 months?

It is 90 days. Not 3 months.

You do not have a Visa.

You can not extend the VWP.

Sorry should have said congrats on the wedding, most places you get married with a few days notice.

You can not.

You don't have to travel together when she arrives in the UK on her spousal visa. You can leave on time, and she can come when she and her documents are ready.

Look at it this way, that gives you time to get everything ready and plan something special for her arrival.

yes - better to be apart for a few days that incur an overstay and make life harder than it has to be going forward.

And many people have long bans or are ineligible ever to enter the US again because they weren't hard-arsed enough in their thinking. This says it all from the male perspective:

Oh yeah. That being said, I am guessing OP is born 1980. They are about to make life changing decision so surely few days/weeks/month apart is fine.

I was apart from my GF for 4 years. Saw here 2 times in that 4 year period AND this was not 30 years ago.

So gotto suck it up and do what is right for the long term
