Hi,
My husband has the chance of working for his co. in the usa. They will cover the cost of his visa which will also provide me with a LV1B. We would be buying a house in the US (cash) and also have all medical insurance paid for by the company for the family. Pls can anyone tell me if my 21 year old son would be able to come with us.
Many thanks

He can't come - unless on his own merits, for example using a student visa after getting admitted to a US college.

There could be several ways in which he could qualify to come, but it would have to be on his own merits. He cannot derive his immigration status from you due to his age.
Could you tell us more about his circumstances ?
Is he a College Students ? Want's to be ? Does he currently work ? doing what ?
Does he have a US Girlfriend he wants to marry ? Does he have money and is he willing to create a company ? how about $500K to sign up for the investment program ?
etc...
Main point is he will have to qualify on his own merits, and not as your dependent.

). My husband and I fully intend to apply for citizenship as soon as we can and then apply for visa's for both unmarried children but I know that this process can take up to 10 years (including the 5 years that you have to wait between receiving your green card and applying for citizenshep)
.Any idea how long the wait is from applying for the unmarried childrens visa's in Florida until they are accepted and can come out to the us as it appears to be different for each state. Many thanks

Immigration law is federal.
They can visit on the VWP.
Time to cut the cord.

Can you please stop with this 'cut the cord'. I have family in the us(cousins, born in the usa) and have been a visitor since 1976. We have spent most of our family holidays in the US to various states and it has always been an ambition for us to emigrate if ever we could. So its not just me wanting to take my 'babies' with me, they want to do this more then I do
trust me, it would save us a whole lot of $ if it were just me my husband and the dog

What sort of dog?
He is an adult, so something he should be looking into if he want to move.

Bachelors degree is around 4 years. If you go f-1, You'll have some time to figure it out. Start by Applying thru college and F-1, which is the surest thing, and it buys you 5 years, since you get a year of OPT at the end (practical training, which means you can stay for a year and you get a work permit to let you work in your field). Many degrees also have course load higher than the minimum, so he could also take the minimum course load and possibly stay longer on F-1. This could be followed by a Master's as well on F-1, which would elongate his stay (and tuition fees)
During his time on OPT (assuming he is eligible after he graduates from US) he could find H1 sponsor, marry, create E-2 company, etc.
I would HIGHLY recommend looking into a Community College at your target destination, as the tuition fees will be MUCH more reasonable, generally admission is open to all eligible and most core courses transfer to a four-year school.
I'd say your situation is not dire, and you should start researching F-1. The next step after the F-1 so is far away (5+ years from now) that the laws may change by then.

He has been investigating all options but if he needs to wait for several years then so be it. All things come to those who wait (apprently....)
