SA Affordable Housing for Low Income households (under $66k)
If you live in South Australia and are struggling to get on the housing ladder, take a look at the 'Affordable Homes' program.
Only those on LOW INCOME are eligible - your household income must be under $66,346 (or more if you have more than 2 children). There is also an ASSET test too. Check out the following link, there is also a property search tool.

"All homes are fixed price and most are for sale for less than $250,000. Properties include new homes for sale within some of South Australia’s premier housing estates through the state government's policy for 15% affordable housing in significant developments, as well as former Housing SA properties"

So, $66K is considered a low income for a family of 4. Would be migrants who check their potential salary earnings on websites should take this into consideration. $66K is an 'median', 'average' salary in Aus and yet not enough to buy a house without Govt help,.... go figure!! As I've said before, you need $100K minimum to get by for a family of 4.
So much for a free capitalist society where the Govt has to step in to 'help' would be home buyers. Laughable.
BTW, I'm looking out for the Govt to introduce 'Hindu Mortgages' next. A Hindu mortgage is a loan that you can pay off over many lifetimes.
What an unsustainable joke it's become here in Aus, people on average wages need help to buy overinflated property.

It will all end in tears. I'm going to love the schadenfreude but unfortunately "no one could have seen it coming" so there will be no "I told you so's", well maybe a couple.
