FSW Cat 2 or CEC - Timeline and Experiences
#1
Having spoken to CIC in Canada phone line am now totally confused as to whether applying for PR via the normal Skilled Workers route is the best thing to do as we also meet the CEC criteria now.
Here on a TWP which is due to expire Feb 2010.
What do you suggest ?

Thats the question and as everything is new no one has the answer, personally I would say pick one and then go with the other Gaynor......
Always works for me!
We have gone FSW category 2, application went today, we did consider waiting until we could apply under CEC but in the end we just wanted to get the application in!

In Canada line is 1-888-242-2100 - good luck
took me god knows how long to get through
Charlie - your FSW cat2 application did you send it to Syndney Nova Scotia and did you send a FULL application or did you do just the forms as the CIC website says ?
This is my problem you see - had completed these forms a couple of months ago and then went to send them and discovered that all FSW go to NS now.

We sent application as per the instuctions, although it said not to include any evidence, I did sent all the stuff you would send to fast track, letter off employer and payslips, (you never know).
We had exactly the same situation application all done, and we were just waiting on one piece of evidence, by the time we got it CIC had changed the rules.
Unfortunately I think we will have to do our police check again which is a bit of a bummer!

Sent to Sydney NS, from what I could find out there is no point sending to London as potentially application could be sent to NS!!!!!

Hi Gaynor, as I mentioned to Charlie I was in the exact same position as you...I had the full application ready to send 2nd April - so missed the cut-off by 2 days!......
Our work permits expire Aug 2010....I sent the simplified application to CIC Sydney on August 4th so I am a week or so ahead, I also included a few of husbands payslips and letter from emplyer (it cant hurt!) so as soon as I hear back I will let you know, hopefully I should receive some kind of correspondance in the next week or two - if recent reports are to be believed....I wish I had got my arse in gear a bit quicker, but hindsight is a wonderful thing!

1/ The photocopy of my husbands work permit wasn't clear enough??!
2/ On my 10 and 7 yr old childrens marital status I left it blank!?.....
So I now have to re-submit, with a clearer copy and specify my children are in fact single.!.....
Feel like I am playing a game of snakes and ladders....back to square 1!

Hello everbody
how much time will they take to give decision.
I am little confusie about paper work, whether we just need to fill form IMM 5612 or a combination of IMM 5612, IMM 0008 (Schedule 1 background / declaration, Schedule 3 economic), IMM 5406 plus AEO
Please clearify
