Hey, Ive just had a call from my agents and they have told me that my job is no longer on the skills shortage list! Im 23 year old electrician so my only way of getting to OZ quickly now is by a state sponsorship the problem is im going on my own. I have family in Perth so was planning to go there for a few months to get me grounded then move to Brisbane but with the state sponsorship I cant do that. Any one got any words of advise to help me or has anyone done a state sponsorship? Any help would be much appreciated.

Mate, personally I would go and settle with family first, makes the whole experience easier. If the time comes when you get PR, then move or at least visit Brisbane, then you can make your own mind up.

hard choice! i absolutely loved brisbane for the time i spent there but am making the big move to perth soon. as a young single lad you will make the most of either place they both have pros and cons and you can always move on around oz. good luck x
