$1.876

Of course a few years ago I'd freak at $1.87 to the £, but given the last few months it is a bit of relief if you are heading over anytime soon.
(I get paid in £s though living here so I'm not entirely thrilled).

And it's still falling... For me this is good news as I have debts that I have to pay back in the UK, so it means less $ each month. I'm not sure about the comment in the article about the dollar's recovery being sustainable. The dollar was always going to rebound, it was just a question of when. Now it seems like the US economy is slowly starting to recover, but the worst is yet to come for the UK economy, so unless something changes then I can't see the pound rebounding any time soon.

Why don't you look at 6 to 24 monthly contracts from either MoneyCorp or HiFX. I'm locked into $1.955 until June 2009 for my monthly pension.
It is swings and roundabouts as you obviously loose out if the rate goes up, but at least you know for a given period of time how much you will receive each month.

BTW ABY... if you want to start calling me a bitch when you send me karma,
1. realise you're sending me karma, duh, and
2. at least have the decency to tell me why I am one.
Thanks!

Maybe he was calling someone else a bitch for how they'd replied to you, and showing you his support by giving you karma. Don't know, but could be??
