Also Eucalyptus essential oils, rub some one the bottom of your feet, 2/3 drops of eucalyptus to about 5ml of a mixing oil like jojoba or almond oil. It works for me .
Hope u feel better soon!

Yes, I got sinusitis from it a few months back. Needed an antibiotic drip for an hour a day for three days to get rid of it.
The doctor said that the amount of dust in the air here, partly due to all the construction, is so high that sinus infections and semi-permanent coughs, even for non-smokers, are very common.

I've always had problems with allergies and stuff, but it's really bad at the moment. I seem to remember having bad problems in Dubai this time last year. I don't think its a coincidence.
Been reading about Neti pots, which is a yogic method of sinus irrigation. They look a bit like small watering cans, and you flush saline solution through your sinuses.

We've had a right dust storm here in Riyadh for the last few days - all that dust going into your eyes and nose can't do the respiratory system any good?
I got a right stinker of a cold within the first week of arriving, but seem to have 'acclimatised' now, but I think the constant AC chill and then going in and out of the heat , combined with copious amounts of dust ,throws the body into shock.
And starting smoking after a 18 month gap doesn't help either

My nose was permanently screwed in the UK due to rhinitus (spelling?), more so in summer with the addition of hayfever. It was fine in Aus, but here its feken atrocious. May well be the dust. Sniff.

Hello - fairly new here, posted a long time ago.
I use a neti pot nearly daily. I rarely get colds and it definitely keeps the sinuses clear. I ordered mine online from http://www.sinucleanse.com/netipotlanding.htm - but dont use the powders they provide, use natural marine salt with no anti-caking agents.

Cheers, IS. I've heard about them, and a lot of people are swearing by them, saying they're ****ing amazing. I might have to invest in one.
